AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ahmed Mustafa Kamil Quran, an eminent expert on Quran recitation styles in Egypt, died at the age of 82.
His funeral was held in Cairo on Friday, El-Balad website reported.
A large number of Quranic figures, religious personalities, his students and other groups of people attended the funeral.
Kamil was a friend of renowned Qari Sheikh Mustafa Ismail and had some 2,200 recorded cassettes of his recitations.
He had many students from Egypt as well as countries like Morocco, Algeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey and Austria.
