AhlulBayt News Agency: Stating that the information produced in Islamic sciences is not free for public access, the Head of the Islamic Seminary said,” This information should be released for public use with basic projects in the form of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to cause major changes in Islamic studies.”
Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi delivered a speech at the opening of the international meeting of directors of educational and research centers in the field of Islamic sciences and studies in Iran which was held in Sheikh Mufid Hall of Qom University. The senior scholar stated that in the modern era we are witnessing new studies in the field of theology, and expressed,” These activities have been formed as studies and observers of Islamic sciences or the phenomenon of religion. This is a new form of studies that is worth considering.”
A member of the Supreme Council of the Seminaries, emphasized the necessity of using new technologies in Islamic studies, and said,” In this regard, advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence should be used properly. In science and education, scientific and technological developments must be reflected with the necessary attention. New technological developments are more than just a mean, since they have created new dimensions.”
The Head of Iran’s seminaries further noted that interconnection of Islamic centers in Iran and the world can make great strides in this area. I hope that this conference will lead to scientific and objective results and serious cooperation in terms of artificial intelligence and other areas.
