AhlulBayt News Agency: On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution led by the late Imam Khomeini, a grand celebration was held at Al-Mustafa University Representative Office in Bangkok with the presence of members of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, professors, students of the representative office, and various segments of the people.

At the beginning of the ceremony, after the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the national anthems of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Thailand were played. In a speech congratulating the guests on this auspicious day, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Hibatullah Sadr Al-Sadat, the regional director of Al-Mustafa representative office in Thailand, noted,” The victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran is the greatest political transformation in the contemporary world, which challenged the tyrannical paradigm ruling the world under the leadership of the United States of America, and its long waves swept beyond the borders of Iran to various countries around the world.”

The Shia cleric went on to say that one of the outstanding features of this great movement was the pursuit of justice and attention to the spiritual dimension of humans and the collapse of the unrealistic wall of a materialistic mono-axial view of humanity, which was welcomed by those thirsting for truth and those tired of oppression.

In another part of this ceremony, Dr. Nasser al-Din Heydari, the Iranian Ambassador to Bangkok, in his speech, referred to the outstanding features of the Islamic Revolution, including its religious leadership, anti-colonialism, mosque-centeredness and anti-Western ideas, and the fight against the hereditary monarchy. He continued by emphasizing its effects on promoting religious awareness, strengthening the identity of the Shiite community in Thailand, and establishing extensive relations between the two countries.
