AhlulBayt News Agency: The third edition of an international exhibition of Islamic calligraphy and painting was launched in Samarra, Iraq.

The Al-Askari Shrine is hosting the exhibition, according to the Astan (custodianship) of the mausoleum.

The Khatam al-Awsia Exhibition has been organized in cooperation with Walqalam Arabic Calligraphy Center and the Digital Media Foundation, both of which are affiliated to the Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine.

The event has been organized to showcase the titles and attributes of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), as well as the prayers associated with him, through calligraphy that reflects the spiritual and aesthetic aspects of this art.

It features an exceptional collection of calligraphy works and paintings containing Quranic verses, sayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and phrases dedicated to Imam Mahdi (AS).

These artworks are crafted in various artistic styles using both classical and modern Arabic scripts and are adorned with Islamic motifs that reflect the spiritual essence of this art form.

A total of 35 calligraphers from 11 governorates of Iraq and 11 other countries have showcased their works at the expo.
