On the eve of significant and historical funeral event of the Quds martyrs, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, His Eminence "Atta Allah Hanna," the Archbishop of the Orthodox Christians of Palestine wrote in a message honoring the memory of the martyrs:
Dear beloved ones, in a few days, Lebanon will witness an exceptional and historic event—the funeral procession of Mr. Hassan Nasrallah and those who were martyred alongside him. We stand in pride, honoring his sacrifices, the sacrifices of his colleagues, assistants, and those who were with him.
They were the ones who stood for Palestine, defended it, and paid a heavy price for it. We are loyal to these sacrifices. All Palestinians are loyal to his and his companions' extraordinary sacrifices.
We send our condolences from our holy land and say that we will never forget those who stood with Palestine. In the darkest times and in the most difficult circumstances, we will defend Palestine.
Today, there are conspiracies being plotted against the issue of Palestine. They want to displace us from our land, but Palestinians will never raise the flag of surrender and will remain committed to their rights and principles. There is no place for surrender in our dictionary.
We are all one family; we are all facing colonial projects that target not only Palestine but the entire nation. Our message is that Palestine is our compass. Whoever stands in the direction of Palestine is in the right place. Anyone standing elsewhere is in the wrong place.
Dear ones, our message at this time is that we must unite—Muslims, Christians, and all sects. They want to divide us, they want us to speak in sectarian languages, they want to divide us so they can advance their projects according to their own desires. Our division will help their colonial projects come to fruition and will target Palestine and the entire nation.
We are connected to Jerusalem and Palestine, and we will not allow anyone to implement their projects to divide us or Palestine. We are one family.
