AhlulBayt News Agency: A Quranic gathering is set to be held in Iran in memory of late leader of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, featuring prominent Iranian qaris.
The gathering will be held this afternoon in Qazvin. The event is being held on the sidelines of the 2nd Imitative Recitation Festival.
Qasem Moqaddami, Hamid Shakernejad, Seyyed Mohammad Hoseinipur, and Vahid Nazarian are set to recite in the event.
“What we are doing today is for the elevation of the name of the Quran,” Hamid Majidimehr, the head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Affairs Center, said on Sunday.
“God willing, may we be practitioners of the glorious words of Allah, like the martyrs. Our belief is that the reason for the victory of the resistance axis is that their foundation is based on the Quran,” he added.
The gathering is concurrent with the funeral ceremony for Nasrallah and his companion Sayed Hashem Safieddine that will be held in Beirut.
The two leaders were assassinated in Israeli airstrikes in Beirut last year. Their funeral had been postponed for security reasons.
