Imam Reza holy shrine hosts Sunni leaders from India

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the eve of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh) and the Week of Unity, Imam Reza holy shrine in Mashhad hosted prominent Sunni leaders from India.

The guests, welcomed by Astan Quds Razavi’s Scientific and Cultural Organization, attended the holy shrine in order to emphasize the need for the convergence and expansion of relations with the two Shia and Sunni branches of Islam.

This group consists of several Sunni leaders from India, including Salman Hosseini Nadvi, the founder of the “Sayyid Ahmad Shahid” seminary in Lucknow, India, along with Sanaullah, the director of Dar al-Olum from the city of Hyderabad who, in coordination with the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, visited different parts of the holy shrine.

After receiving pilgrimage spiritual blessings, the Sunni leaders paid a visit to various sections of the central and Quran museums, as well as AQR library, and closely got acquainted with the achievements and exquisite treasures of these establishments.
