Development of Dar-ol-Quran center begins in Thailand

A ceremony was held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to launch a project for the development of the city’s Imam Hussein (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A ceremony was held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to launch a project for the development of the city’s Imam Hussein (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center.

The project is implemented in cooperation with the Iranian Culture Center in Bangkok and a number of Thai benefactors.

It is aimed at enhancing Quranic and spiritual activities for the city’s Muslim community.

The Dar-ol-Quran Center has been active in teaching the Quran and Islamic teachings for years, meeting the demand of the growing Muslim community in Bangkok.

A number of scholars, Muslim families and cultural figures attended the ceremony, according to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.

Addressing the event, Iranian Cultural Attaché Mehdi Zare Bi’eyb said the development of the Dar-ol-Quran symbolizes joint efforts to promote Quranic and moral values.

He added that the center not only helps to strengthen the Muslim community but also serves to spread common human values.

Elsewhere at the ceremony, Sheikh Hussein bin Salim, the director of the center, presented a report on the development process.

Also, winners of a local Quran competition who have learned the Quran at the center as well as their teachers were honored at the ceremony.
