60th round of Islamic Dialogue conference held in Bahrain

AhlulBayt News Agency: The 60th round of Islamic Dialogue under the slogan "One Ummah and a Common Destiny" was held in Bahrain.

An Islamic Dialogue Meeting under the slogan "One Ummah and a Common Destiny" was held in Bahrain.

Grand Imam of al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb, is a keynote guest present at the event.

The meeting was organized by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and by Al-Azhar, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of Bahrain, and the Assembly of Muslim Scholars.

More than 400 scholars, Islamic authorities, thinkers, and intellectuals from different parts of the world participated in the event.

The meeting is being held in response to the request of Grand Imam of Al-Azhar at the Bahrain Dialogue Forum in November 2022 to strengthen Muslim unity.

Also, at this meeting, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar delivered a speech in which he emphasized the need for the unity of the Ummah in facing contemporary challenges.

This meeting seeks to move from a discourse of approximation towards understanding commonalities and challenges, to establish a mechanism for permanent scientific dialogue at the level of scholars and authorities in the Islamic world, and to explain the broad areas of agreement among Muslims and the approach to confronting them.
