(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed that Syrian Army troops' advances against ISIS in Eastern Aleppo on Monday completed the siege of the terrorists trapped in the town of al-Bab.
"ISIS terrorists are now under a complete siege in the town of al-Bab following the advances of the army and its popular allies and after they seized control over the main road connecting al-Bab to Raqqa," SOHR's Rami Abdulrahman disclosed.
Reports said earlier on Monday that the army troops continued their anti-ISIS advances in Eastern Aleppo and deployed soldiers in the nearest distance to the terrorist-held town of al-Bab after capturing a key hill near the town.
The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIS after liberating the town of al-Oweishiyeh and managed to take control of the al-Oweishiyeh hill Southeast of al-Bab, deploying forces in the nearest positions to the terrorist-held town.
A military source said meantime that with these advances the army men have now won control over terrorists' movement from Tadif to the town and to Abu Jabar Kabir in the Eastern part of Aleppo province, deploying in nearest distance to the town of al-Bab and the first defense line of the terrorists in Tadif.
