Speaking at a program on Quran TV, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini, the head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Affairs Department, noted that the last contests in the provincial stage concluded in the provinces of Ardebil and Qazvin on Thursday.

He said the winners of the provincial stage will compete in the final round on September 2-17.

Quran memorization, recitation, Tarteel, Adhan (call to prayers), and Quranic teachings are among the categories of the contest, he said.

Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini added that the category of reciting supplications has been added to the competition this year for the first time.

Last year, the northern city of Rasht, Gilan province, hosted the national stage of the competition.
