AhlulBayt News Agency: The Fourth International Conference of Arbaeen Cultural Activists took place from December 11 to 13 in Mashhad, with the attendance of 300 cultural, propagative, research, media, and cyberspace activists from 10 Islamic countries.
A Unique Congress and a Resonant Voice
In a message to the conference, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, emphasized: "The Arbaeen pilgrimage, attended by millions of pilgrims devoted to the pure and immaculate family (peace be upon them), represents a unique congress and a resonant voice in today’s tumultuous world, reflecting the heartfelt aspirations of the world’s free spirits."
Hujjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi, head of the cultural committee of the Arbaeen, noted at the event: “The massive movement of Arbaeen-e-Hussaini provides a valuable opportunity to introduce the culture of Ashura as a foundation for a new civilization and the formation of an Islamic community. This event has fostered greater unity across various sectors between the nations and governments of Iran and Iraq, which is commendable.”
He added, “One of the key topics discussed by participants was the importance of non-interference from governments in organizing the pilgrimage, avoiding bureaucratic challenges, while emphasizing the need for supportive measures to ensure the security of this significant event.”
Capacity to Host 10 Million Iranian Pilgrims
Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Hamid Hussaini, head of the Iraqi Radio and Television Union, also addressed the conference, stating: “Given the current sensitive regional conditions and global developments, we anticipate our Iranian brothers will participate in next year's Arbaeen pilgrimage in Iraq with a turnout of 10 million, which will discourage the enemies of the Islamic world and strengthen the bond between our two friendly nations. The doors of the Iraqi people are open to the pilgrimage of the Master of the Martys (peace be upon him).”
The event also featured a ceremony honoring the martyrs of resistance and Gaza at the courtyard of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (pbuh), attended by Sunni scholars and prominent figures from the resistance movement, among other activities during the Fourth International Conference of Arbaeen Cultural Activists.
