AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues to organize a specialized Quranic course for students of religious sciences from the African continent, coinciding with the national day of the Holy Quran.
The course is held under the supervision of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran, in cooperation with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine.
Sheikh Wissam Al-Sabti, from the Holy Quran Institute in Najaf, said:"the course represents the third stage of the comprehensive Quranic development program, which targets students from seven African countries in order to raise their levels in the sciences of the Holy Quran, and it comes in conjunction with the national day of the Holy Quran.
He added that"the Quranic program includes three complementary stages; the first focuses on improving the correct reading of the Holy Quran at its first level, while the second deals with the rules of recitation theoretically and practically, focusing on the rules of Waqf and initiation".
Al-Sabti pointed out that "the third and final stage includes advanced lessons in the sciences of the Holy Quran, with a focus on the arts of sound and melody, Waqf and initiation; in order to develop the performance of recitation and improve it using advanced methods in the arts of various readings".
The program is part of the efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in building a Quranic generation capable of spreading the correct Islamic teachings throughout the African continent.
