AhlulBayt News Agency: Like previous years, rallies are planned to be organized across Iran on Monday, the 22nd day of the Iranian calendar month of Bahman, to celebrate the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The main event will be held in the capital Tehran with President Masoud Pezshkian scheduled to deliver a speech, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hossein Mousapour, head of the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council, said at a press conference in Tehran on Saturday.
He said the ceremony in the capital will start at 10 AM at Azadi Square.
Some 200 Iranian and foreign journalists and reporters are expected t cover the event, he stated.
An exhibition with 2,000 booths will display some of the country’s achievements in different fields, he noted.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mousapour described the rallies marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory as a huge national celebration and said people will renew allegiance with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on this day.
The people, with their enthusiastic presence on this day, will also renew their commitment to the ideals of the martyrs, the late Imam Khomeini (RA), and the Islamic Revolution, and it will be considered a display of Iran’s national power, he went on to say.
Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.
The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran marks the beginning of the Ten Day Fajr, which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution (February 10 this year).
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 46 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
