Media Narrators, which is one of the valuable initiatives of ABNA News Agency, can foster collaboration and synergy among media entities, leading to a transformation in the media landscape.”

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The second international gathering of “AhlulBayt (a.s.) Media Narrators” was held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Qom, featuring speeches by Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and Dr. Peyman Jebeli, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

This event, dedicated to non-Iranian seminarians active in the media field, hosted more than one hundred media and digital activists from various countries around the world, some of whom shared their perspectives and provided reports on their media activities.

Media Can Promote Pure Teachings, Modern Civilization, and Rationality of Islam

Speaking at the gathering, Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, highlighted the crucial role of media and stated, “Today, media is one of the pillars of global conflicts and is more influential than anything else. The organization of the International Gathering of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Media Narrators, which is one of the valuable initiatives of ABNA News Agency, can foster collaboration and synergy among media entities, ultimately bringing about a transformation in the media landscape.”

“Media can serve as a unique and unparalleled tool for introducing the pure teachings of Islam, promoting the new Islamic civilization, and advancing rationality,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

He further noted, “Beyond media literacy and news strategies in the content domain, we must also engage in media jihad in today’s world and strive to introduce Pure Islam. Without a doubt, if Pure Islam is presented in an international language, we will be victorious in various arenas.”

The AhlulBayt (a.s.) School Has Inspired Resistance in the Contemporary Era

Dr. Peyman Jebeli, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), also addressed the gathering, referring to the recent victories of the Resistance Front. “These great victories demonstrate the popular nature of the Resistance. We are the narrators of these victories, and we proudly declare to the world that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school has been the source of inspiration for Resistance in the contemporary era, standing firm in defense of Palestine. It was the Islamic Resistance fighters in Lebanon who sacrificed their lives for the defense of Al-Quds, and it was the Yemeni resistance fighters who responded to the Zionist regime until the last day of the Gaza war. The Islamic Republic of Iran, in two stages through the ‘True Promise’ operations, humiliated the Zionist regime and provided steadfast support to the resistance,” he stated.

Expressing his pleasure at being among the AhlulBayt (a.s.) media narrators, he added, “I am honored to be here among the media army of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school of thought and the Islamic world. We must complement one another. The use of modern media and social media platforms can create synergy with outlets such as the IRIB.”

The International Union of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Media Activists to Begin Operations Soon

Hassan Sadraei Aref, Director of ABNA News Agency, also spoke at the event, outlining some of the agency’s recent international activities. “Recently, we have undertaken initiatives such as organizing the first ‘AhlulBayt (a.s.) Media Narrators’ course, conducting the International Journalism Training Program, and hosting the ‘Abna al-Hussain (a.s.)’ media event. I am pleased to announce that we will soon launch the International Union of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Media Activists,” he stated.

It is worth noting that during the ceremony, various divisions of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, i.e. WikiShia, Thaqalayn Satellite TV, ABNA News Agency, and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Teachings Website were introduced. Additionally, six selected media activists from Nigeria, Pakistan, India (Kashmir), Afghanistan, Mozambique, and Indonesia elaborated on their activities and perspectives concerning the role of media, particularly modern media and artificial intelligence, international media synergy, and the continuation of such meetings and discussions.
